This reports on detailed survey of young people and parents about their attitudes to home, leaving home, running away, and homelessness. Written by Joan Smith and Megan Ravenhill from the Cities Institute and London Metropolitan University focuses on London , but the lessons of the research are relevant across the UK including Scotland . By better understanding both parents and young people’s attitudes to running away, leaving home and homelessness, we can better tailor work that aims to prevent homelessness amongst young people.
