SCSH runs the Homeless Strategy Officers Network (HSO Network) on behalf of the Scottish local authorities.

How does the Network Operate?

The HSO Network operates via -

• Quarterly meetings which involve policy and research updates from the Scottish Government Housing Access and Support Division and a series of other presentations (often from frontline service providers and other voluntary groups) outlining good practice in preventing homelessness. The meetings take place at the SCSH offices.

• A confidential local authority strategy officer email group, acting as a medium for sharing information and good practice.

Who can attend and participate in the Network?

The network is open to all local authority homelessness strategy staff. Quite often housing staff who may undertake a component of homelessness work can become members of the network.
